Yesterday we announced the close of our Series C funding of $22M led by Investor Growth Capital. Since then we have received an outpouring of congratulations and acceptance from the HR and tech community and we are greatly humbled and optimistic about the future of digital interviewing. While this round of funding is an exciting milestone for our company, we could not have achieved this level of growth without an amazing group of dedicated and passionate team members that we endearingly call ” Vuers”. Each member of our HireVue family was discovered through a HireVue digital interview, and each one was chosen for their exceptional talents, creativity and experience. Our recent success and press coverage in Forbes, TechCrunch, BetaKit, VentureBeat, and several others would not be possible without each of them. In reflecting on our most recent capital infusion, I am reminded by something Daniel Lewin, Corporate Vice-President of Strategy of Microsoft once said: “When you receive capital from a Venture Investor, treat it as your own. Your investors will be pleased if you treat their money as if it were your last dime.” Moving forward with the unparalleled team members and cutting edge technology we will rise to the challenge from our investors and clients to continue to redefine recruiting and create an industry category that will revolutionize the way that candidates are employed. The growing interest and trust we have seen from our clients, investors and followers have reinforced a belief we have had since HireVue was founded in 2004 – the process of interviewing is outdated, archaic, and broken, and it costs small, medium and large enterprise businesses far too much capital that should be invested in other areas. That’s where HireVue comes in with a future strategy and product roadmap that we will be rolling out over the next several weeks and months. Kennedy stated in a 1963 speech about economic improvements, “a rising tide lifts all boats.” The outdated, archaic, timely, costly, and essentially broken process of current recruiting processes no longer makes sense.
