HIREVUE FOR CANDIDATES

What is HireVue And Why Am I Here?

HireVue offers Video Interviews as a better way to connect you with hiring managers at your next potential employer.

We know hardly anyone likes the interview process, so we are here to help you save time and stress associated with the first interview! Most of all we don't want to leave you stuck in a hiring process because of schedules, time zones and anything else that can come up. Our process is a little different but most job candidates find it simple and beneficial.

You will either be taking a set, recorded video interview or will participate in a live video interview with a hiring manager from the employer. You can take the HireVue Recorded Interview at any time since you will be responding to questions entered into our system by your potential employer. Your responses are recorded into our system for review by hiring managers.

If you have been invited to participate in a HireVue Live Interview you will respond to live questions placed by the hiring manager or hiring team members present on the video interview. This is a lot like a live video conference.

What is a Virtual Video Interview?

Live Interviews are video interviews that allow you to meet face-to-face with the hiring staff at your potential new employer via online video conference. You will be asked to meet with them one-on-one or with a panel of up to 3 interviewers. Like the virtual interview, your responses will be recorded along with the questions and conversation of the interviewers.

A virtual video interview is an interview where you will be responding to questions entered into the system by the requesting company. For example, imagine the first question being "Tell me about yourself". In a HireVue Recorded Video Interview, you will have 30 seconds to read the question and then up to three minutes to respond. Your response is being recorded, securely, onto HireVue servers. Once you have finished your interview, the hiring managers or recruiters at the requesting company can login to watch your interview.

What is HireVue Trying to Accomplish?

HireVue offers a better way to connect you, the candidate, with hiring managers and future team members. HireVue takes timing and scheduling hassles out of the first interview so that 1) you can move along faster in the hiring process and 2) you can enjoy the convenience of confidentially interviewing from your home or other convenient locations. You don't have to worry about interviews during business hours that can necessitate leaving work or travel. Consider a HireVue Video Interview as a unique tool that allows you to shine.

Have you ever felt like you had more to offer than your resume showed? Well, here is your time to:

  • Show your passion, drive, and determination.
  • Have a company take a serious look at you, not your resume.
  • Compete on more than just previous experience.

Taking a HireVue Video Interview ensures you are seen not just a resume but as a real person. We have strived to make taking a HireVue Video Interview very similar to participating in a traditional in-person interview. To ensure your success, take a look at the following pages:
