I’m excited to be writing to you in my first week as CEO of HireVue - an opportunity I could not be more passionate about. In all corners of the world right now people are taking their first steps into the job market, or looking for the next role that will take them on the journey to their dream job. Those taking a HireVue are lucky enough to be working with hiring teams that value their potential, not just their background, that see past their resume or career gaps to the skills that make them ideally suited for the job and the organization. Together we are redefining hiring and placing the focus on what matters - Human Potential.

As we embark on this journey together, I want to start by thanking Anthony Reynolds for the work he has done as HireVue’s CEO for the past 2 years. Anthony is stepping down but will continue to serve HireVue in an advisory role.
The decision to come here was an easy one. HireVue’s commitment to and passion for its mission to connect talent to opportunity makes it stand out from the competition. The constant desire to redefine what’s possible in hiring is more than inspiring, it’s life-changing for so many. My background spans over a decade in education technology, where I co-founded and led Schoology. Our mission echoed a similar ethos to HireVue and that’s what excites me today - harnessing technology not just for efficiency but to recognize and nurture individual potential.
I am acutely aware of the challenges businesses of all sizes face today. The economy is tougher than it’s been in a long time and getting and keeping the best people into the right roles is a huge headache. HireVue’s recent launch of Human Potential Intelligence highlighted that the fundamental hiring approach is broken. CV reviews and inadequate job descriptions don’t predict future success - ‘Rearview HR’ is not the answer any longer (and arguably never was). When your TA teams are experiencing job vacancies they can’t fill and ongoing skill gaps, they need a solution that’s more than just spending more money on job boards, ads, more recruiters, or a new technology that doesn’t solve the issue.
